Turkey denies reports about pressure on Turkish students of Azerbaijani military schools

“Turkish embassy in Baku called the last week report by “Yeni Musavat” newspaper about “pressure on the Turkish students of the Azerbaijani military schools” as a groundless and false report, spokesperson for the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan, Colonel Eldar Sabiroglu said.

Turkish embassy’s press counselor office said those reports published by the Azerbaijani and Turkish newspapers aimed to damage friendship, cooperation and brotherhood between the two countries. “We don’t accept such reports seriously and don’t attach attention to it”, said the embassy official. “The Turkish embassy in Baku has good relations with Defense Minister of Azerbaijan Safar Abiyev and Azerbaijani government agencies and the reports published by the Azerbaijani and Turkish newspapers are the attempt to damage relations between the two countries. “Yeni Musavat” published an anonymous report, which aims to overshadow Turkish-Azerbaijani relations, to damage reputation of Defense Minister Safar Abiyev and to bring pressure on him”.
