European action plan to reduce harmful use of alcohol approved in Baku

Representatives of 53 countries of the European Bureau of the World Health Organization (WHO) at 61st session of the Regional Committee in Baku adopted an action plan for 2012-2020, aimed at reducing the harmful use of alcohol, UN News Centre reports.

After tobacco, alcohol is the second risk factor for mortality and disease burden in Europe.
