Russian Deputy Health Minister: Health cooperation with Azerbaijan benefits both countries

“Ministers of every government should be also be a health minister. That’s why all organizations and ministries of the country must participate in the health protection of every person.

It is possible to cooperate with the non-governmental organization in this field”, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Development of the Russia Veronika Skvortsova told journalists.

According to her, Russia always wants the protection of relations with Azerbaijan: “We are sure that the cooperation with Azerbaijan in health sphere benefits two countries. Russia is ready to share its positive achievements. The main issue is the concept of combating the noninfectious diseases.

These diseases have turned into the main reason of deaths and disability in the world. Russia is actively participating in development of concept of combating the noninfectious diseases, with the other countries”.

Skvortsova said that the large meeting would be held next week on noninfectious diseases at the UN General Assembly: “It is impossible to take care of peoples’ welfare and health without solving this problem. USD 30 mln are needed for solving this problem”.

Deputy Health Minister of Russia said that she highly assessed the changes which she saw in Azerbaijan: “The situation in economic, socio-political, as well as health spheres has been changed in Azerbaijan. It gladdens us very much”.
