Azerbaijani servicemen watch “Combat Commonwealth-2011” exercises in Russia

Azerbaijani servicemen watch the “Combat Commonwealth-2011” exercises held in Russia with the participation of some CIS member countries, Russian mass media.

CIS Air Defense Forces participated in the field firings held in Astrakhan province’s Ashuluk and Kazakhstan’s Sari-Shagan firing ranges. The servicemen from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan participated in the exercises.

“S-300”, “S-200”, “Buk”, “Osa” air defense missile systems, 13 warplanes from Russia and Belarus were involved in the exercises.

The servicemen from Ukraine, Algeria, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Syria joined the exercises as the observers. “Combat Commonwealth-2011” exercises will be finished on October 5.
