Azerbaijan hosts 61st session of WHO Regional Office for Europe

The 61st session of the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe has been started in Baku on September 12.

About 350 representatives from 53 Member Countries joined the session. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, WHO Director General Margaret Chan, Health Minster of Azerbaijan Ogtay Shiraliyev and other officials attend the event.

Topical issues of the social healthcare of Azerbaijan are being discussed at the session.

WHO regional Office for Europe and Azerbaijan will sign cooperation agreement within the session. The agreement will consider three-year cooperation. The session will last until September 15.
