President Ilham Aliyev lays foundation stone for Jeyranbatan ultrafiltration water purification unit - PHOTOS

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today attended a groundbreaking ceremony for the Jeyranbatan water purification ultrafiltration facility of the OJSC “Azersu” in the Absheron district.

The Head of State toured the construction site.

The Head of State was informed about specifications of the new unit. The facility with the capacity of 6 cubic meters per second will improve quality of water supplied for population in Baku and Sumgait. The Dutch-made state-of-the-art equipment will be used in the new system.

The new facility to be built during 12-15 months will allow saving electricity. The President got familiar with the water supply plan for Baku and suburban districts.

The President placed a symbolic metal capsule into the foundation and covered it with liquid concrete. The Head of State met with staff of “Azersu” and builders.

“The most important investments are those made in human capital in Azerbaijan,” said President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

“The successful economic policy enables us to make huge investments to solve social problems. Investments are also channeled to creation of social infrastructure and salaries with pensions and salaries increased. In other words, social policy in Azerbaijan is pursued in a very right direction, infrastructural projects that are an integral part of this policy, conditions created for people’s comfort, certainly make all of us happy,” the Head of State added. 

Azerbaijan`s companies, in particular, the state companies should have highest management ability, president Ilham Aliyev said.

“The executives should have modern approach, correct set-up, exact programs as well as execution mechanism should be at the world level. Up-to-dateness, application of modern technologies, responsibility and conscience - these are my recommendations to all of the state-run companies”, the head of state underlined.
