Baku Boulevard to be extended for 2 km more until Eurovision-2012

Until Eurovision-2012 song contest, which will be held in May of next year in Baku, the National park will be prolonged till National Flag square and its length will be reached from 4 km to 6 km, the deputy head of the Board of the National Park (seaside boulevard) under the Cabinet of Ministers Nazim Majidov said.

“There was only part of the shipyard, which is soon to be moved. For early completion of construction works are carried out in two directions - from the Hand Games Palace till National Flag Square and in the opposite direction”.

Majidov said that Seaside Park was planned to extend till Garasheher as well: “In general, the expansion of the boulevard will last 10 years. Progress will depend on the resettlement of the sites are here”.

To him, for the provision of services to foreigners at the appropriate level, employees of seaside national park will be learnt English language.

Majidov added that during the competition the National Park Office will operate in an intensified work regime: “A large monitor has been set in boulevard. Information about Azerbaijan’s history and culture will be posted on it. Moreover, the ships considered for sea trips will be upgraded too. Agreement has already been signed and 3-4 new ships will be purchased”.
