Two tax officers arrested for corruption in Azerbaijan

Two employees of Ministry of Taxes were arrested for corruption, Joint information of Ministry of Taxes and General Prosecutor’s Office reported.

According to information, Citizen Kabira Habibova applied to the Ministry and noted that, two persons introducing themselves as the employees of Ministry of Taxes conducted illegal monitoring in her Laziz café and required money. They required AZN 1,000 and AZN 400.

As a result of operation measures taken by employees of department on anti-corruption under the General Prosecutor and Ministry of Taxes, Jalilov KHayal and Dadashov Ilham were nabbed.

A criminal case was launched by against department on anti-corruption under the General Prosecutor under the article of 311.3.1 of the Criminal Code.
