Somalia charity campaign continues in Azerbaijan

Many citizens of Azerbaijan showed the will to send aid to famine victims in Somalia, according to sources from the Eurasian regional center of the OIC Youth Forum.The citizens expressed readiness to support the campaign and also set their proposals and initiatives on the issue. Azerbaijanis have so far rendered a financial aid worth AZN3,100 in cash and AZN2,500 by ranking transfer. A separate form is being prepared for those who are willing to contribute.

There is a plan to hold charity iftars of the OIC Youth Forum. Three iftars will be held this week with participation of different social categories in Azerbaijan.

Given the increase in the number of people who voiced their readiness to provide financial assistance to the action in cash, but having no opportunity to arrive in the OIC Youth Forum office during the working time, there is a plan to organize the group of volunteers. Additionally, some public organizations stated their readiness to extend financial support by joining the campaign independently.
