
A forensic medical examination of the remains of the crew members of the Azerbaijani plane crash in Afghanistan has begun, Director General of the Union of Forensic Examination and Pathology of the Health Ministry Shakir Musayev said.
The remains of the crew members were transferred to the Union, Musayev said. Experts will hold six types of examinations to establish the identity and causes of the crew members’ deaths. They are molecular-genetic, forensic-biological, medical- criminalistics, forensic-chemical, forensic-histological, and forensic-medical examinations.
Examinations will take about a month, Musayev said. He added that the material-technical foundation and staff proficiency in the Union will enable all issues relating to the examination to be addressed.
