559 religious communities registered in Azerbaijan

559 religious communities were registered in Azerbaijan.

Now they are officially functioning, said Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Religious Organizations Haidayat Orujov. The Committee chairman said that 525 of them are Islamic, 34 – non-Islamic religious communities. 23 of non-Islamic religious organizations represent the Christianity, 7 – Hebraism, 3 – Baha’i faith, 1 – Krishnaism.
