Popularization of Azerbaijani culture all over the world is important, Saint-Tropez Mayor

In an interview to AzerTAc, Saint-Tropez mayor Jean-Pierre Tuveri stressed the importance for popularization of Azerbaijani culture around the world. Tuveri attended the opening of exhibition “Cultural wealth of Azerbaijan” held within the 2nd Ramatuelle classic music festival organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Saint-Tropez.

Along with economic development in Azerbaijan, the mayor stressed the importance of the great attention shown to the culture in the country. He said “this attention is always in the spotlight of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and its president, first lady of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva”. The mayor said the French are familiar with the history, culture and art of Azerbaijan, adding “these kinds of exhibitions can tell more to the French”.

He said “events related to Azerbaijan`s culture are held in Paris very often. We are glad that the event is held in our city this time. The French should know Azerbaijan even better. Culture encourages development of ties”. When asked “What else you know about Azerbaijan?”, the mayor said |he is aware of country`s economic strength and Azerbaijan is leading country in the region, which is a result of the right policy.
