Ambassador: Azerbaijani embassy in Syria increases security measures

The Azerbaijani Embassy in Syria has strengthened security measures after the incident at the French and United States Embassies, Azerbaijani ambassador to Syria Mahir Aliyev said

"The Embassy operates as usual," he said. "Nothing threatens the embassy’s activity now."

Pro-government demonstrators in Syria wounded three employees of the French Embassy in an attempt to penetrate it, French Foreign Ministry spokesman Bernard Valero said in a communique, RIA Novosti reported.

"France strongly condemns these actions that are contrary to Syria’s obligations in regard to international law," he said.
