Letter of protest prepared against theft of Azerbaijani dance music by Armenians

Azerbaijani Agency for Protection of Author Rights prepared a letter of protest on the fact that the Armenians performed song in the Eurovision-2011 song contest on the basis of Azerbaijani “Kochari” national dance music, chairman of Agency for Protection of Author Rights Kamran Imanov said.

Imanov said that this letter will be sent to the World Intellectual Property Organization: “They must know that we are protesting and the Armenians misappropriated this dancing belonging to Azerbaijan. The fact is that they used Azerbaijani national dance music in the reliable contest. They ground that the “Kochari” issues from Kocharyan. Kochari issues from koch and köch words and they both have a Turkic origin”.
