Azerbaijani Emergency Ministry conducts monitoring in Baku’s landslide areas

Baku Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations conducted monitoring in the landslide zones of the capital, the ministry told APA.

According to information, under the rules of the Baku Regional Center, the monitoring is conducted constantly in the landslide areas situated in Baku city. The next such monitoring was conducted in Sabail district, Bayil landslide area. The center’s employees, the representatives of Sabail District Executive Power, Baku Regional Center’s Coordination Commission, Sabail municipality attended the monitoring.

Though the result of monitoring was satisfactory, the current situation was discussed in the mobile meeting held in the monitoring area, the possible consequences of landslides researched. The decision was passed to continue the monitoring in the future.

The next monitoring was held in Ahmadli-1 and Ahmadli-2 landslide areas of Khatai district. As a result of monitoring, no changes were observed in the lighthouses set in the territory, the stabile situation was noted in the territory. The monitoring participants, as well as a group of local residents who watched the monitoring noted the importance of conduction of constant monitoring in the landslide zones.
