First lady of Azerbaijan talks about preparations for "Eurovision-2012"

Azerbaijan's first lady, Mehriban Aliyeva, has chaired the first meeting of the committee organizing the Eurovision-2012 song contest in Baku.

Mrs. Aliyeva told the meeting, held at the Heydar Aliyev Foundation on Monday, that the committee faced a major task in organizing the contest at the highest level possible.

She said that key areas of work should be identified at the first meeting as little time was left until the contest, which will be held in May 2012.

She said various possible venues for the contest were under consideration and that a decision would be made soon.
