Over 11,000 legal entities function in Baku since introducing 'one window'

Since introducing "one window" principle at the Azerbaijani Taxes Ministry in 2008 was more than 11,000 legal entities functioning in Azerbaijan have been registered, as well as more than 21,000 corporate clients’ documents have been reviewed, Head of the state registration department at Ministry’s Baku Tax Department Nigar Alimova said.

Before introducing the "single window", two months were needed for registration of legal entities. Novice entrepreneurs had to go through 13 procedures, submit the same type of documents to various structures that contributed to the emergence of bureaucratic obstacles.

As a result of the "single window", the number of registration procedures for starting a business was reduced to six, the time required - up to eight days, including time required for registration - up to three days, the number of submitted documents decreased five times.

Since introducing the "single window" principle at the Taxes Ministry over 140,000 business entities were registered, more than 16,000 of which are legal entities.
