Population’s income rose 6 times during past 10 years

Azerbaijani population’s total income has increased from AZN 4.3 bln to AZN 25.6 bln since 2001, said the State Statistical Committee.

According to calculations, expenditures rose by 5.9 times from AZN 3.5 bln to AZN 20.5 bln. Retail commodity circulation increased by 5.7 times from AZN 2.4 bln to 13.7 bln.

Thus, the population’s savings soared from AZN 0.8 bln to AZN 5.07 bln. Consequently, poverty level decreased from 49% in 2001 to 9.1% in 2010.
