Azerbaijani low-income citizens to be exempted from taxes

Azerbaijani low-income citizens will be exempted from tax.

It was considered in the Action Plan for 2011-2015 on implementation of “State Program on poverty reduction and sustainable development in Azerbaijan during 2008-2015” affirmed by President Ilham Aliyev.

According one of the measures in the plan, the low-income citizens will be exempted from tax in Azerbaijan. Ministries of Taxes and Finance were commissioned with the implementation of these measures.

Besides, improvement of customs-tariff mechanism was planned in the plan and this must be implemented in 2011-2012.

At the same time, it’s planned to improve the legislation on procurements, organize e-procurements and publish the procurement plans.
