WHO: No danger of intestinal infection in Azerbaijan

There is not a dangerous situation in Azerbaijan with regards to the intestinal infection that has spread in Europe, coordinator for infectious diseases of the representation of World Health Organization in Azerbaijan Dzhavahir Suleymanova said.

She said according to the WHO, the number of new infections has significantly reduced in Europe.

According to Suleymanova, if there are problems in Azerbaijan in connection with intestinal infection, the WHO will support the Ministry of Health of the country to take certain actions.

She said the WHO considers the situation with intestinal infection in Azerbaijan to be normal. Therefore, the WHO does not consider it necessary to conduct monitoring in connection with the intestinal infection in Azerbaijan.

The outbreak of the intestinal infection was initially recorded in the north of Germany.
