Mudflow takes away car with passengers in it in Azerbaijan’s Shamakhi region

The runoff waters coming from mountains caused losses in Shamakhi region.

Shamakhi region Police Office told APA’s Shirvan bureau that the strong mudflow came to Aghsuchay River passing from Shamakhi region. The bridge near on the river near Damirchi village got out of order. Region’s resident, Orujov Mahammad Aganasib wanted to cross the river with his “UAZ 469” car and at that time, the mudflow took away his car.

The big river stones brought by the strong water current and mudflow prevented to yank the car out of the water. The car, as well as driver Mahammad Orujov and passenger Khalilova Gulmarjan Alimardan were rescued during 2 hours with the help of police employees. The strong runoff waters took away 3 black and 12 small cattles belonging to the residents of Damirchi and Galeybugut villages.
