Man shoots his relative in Balaken region of Azerbaijan

The incident involving the use of arms occurred in wedding ceremony in Balaken region of Azerbaijan, Balaken Region Police Office said.

The incident was recorded on June 20, in “Nihat” wedding palace situated in Katekh village. The scuffle took place between the relatives, who attended the wedding ceremony held in wedding palace, Chingiz Balayev, born in 1972, and Sahib Surkhayev, born in 1990. They injured themselves in the scuffle because of personal dispute. Then Balayev went home, took his 12 mm sporting gun, came to Surkhayev’s house and opened fire at him. Surkhayev was wounded in the region of the right leg’s femur. The wounded was hospitalized.

Balaye was detained by police.

The criminal case has been launched by Balaken Region Prosecutor’s Office, the investigation is underway.
