Deputy Minister: E. coli not a threat to Azerbaijan

The chance of E. coli detection in Azerbaijan is zero, Azerbaijani Deputy Agriculture Minister Bahram Aliyev said today.

Azerbaijan fully satisfies its fruit and vegetable market demand, Aliyev said.

Furthermore, health services responsible for domestic agricultural health operate throughout the country.

Aliyev also said that after Russia banned imports of fruits and vegetables from Europe, the exportation of these products to Russia from Azerbaijan increased by 40-50 percent.
