
On June 13th, 2011 Samsung Electronics, a leading mobile phone provider, held an official press presentation of GALAXY S II smartphone in Azerbaijan. The presentation with participation of national mass media representatives was organized at The Grand Hotel Europe in Baku.
Mr. Jaehee Chun, Head of the Samsung Electronics Baku Office spoke about a success of Samsung Electronics in Azerbaijan, where economic growth rates are among the highest in the world.
He noted that economic growth positively affects the demand for high-tech products in the country, and in this regard, Samsung Electronics pays special attention to introduction of the most advanced products in Azerbaijan. The demand for ICT-related products, services and solutions demonstrates the stability of economy in Azerbaijan.
Mr. Ilya Fedotov, Head of Mobile Phones Product Marketing Department of the Samsung Electronics CIS office in Moscow, emphasized an increase of Samsung mobile devices share in the global markets. According to him, nowadays Samsung mobile phones and smartphones excel the most part of other manufacturers’ analogues by its technology. Galaxy S II can be regarded as the embodiment of a modern smartphone, which has powerful tools for business and entertainment.
The launch of Galaxy S II will become a grand affair for many Azerbaijani fans of mobile devices and innovative technologies. Galaxy S II (Model: GT-I9100) is equipped with the powerful 1.2 GHz dual-core Samsung Exynos (GT-i9100) processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Super-slim (thickness 8.49 mm) and lightweight (116g) Samsung Galaxy S II lets you watch videos and photos on a large 4.27’’ super-bright Super AMOLED Plus display. Display of Galaxy S II is 14% wider than the screen of Galaxy S model, and is the most effective among the other devices of this size. While playing games, viewing photos and video, the screen displays vivid and bright colors. Also Galaxy S II is supplied with 8-megapixel camera with the ability to record high quality Full HD (1080) video.
Mass media representatives have also got acquainted with Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 - world's thinnest tablet running on Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) and TouchWiz - proprietary user interface. New model supports HSPA+ network, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n technologies which provide high-speed download and reduce data transfer time. New model is equipped with 1 GHz dual-core processor, which allows you to work with various multimedia and Internet applications. With the frame thickness 8,6 mm Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has 595 g weight.
