Man kills his spouse in Azerbaijan

A murder was committed in Gabala region. The Regional Police Department told APA’s Shirvan bureau that the incident was recorded yesterday in Yemishanli village of Gabala on June 12 at 20.00.

The village’s resident, Zakariyyayev Aladdin Mukhtar, born in 1963, wounded his spouse Zakariyyayeva Fakhriyya Guloglan, born in 1969, with cutting tool. Zakariyyayeva, mother of three, died on the way to hospital.

The incident occurred because of jealousy. Zakariyyayev, who is registered as mental patient in the hospital, was detained.

The investigation is underway.
