Eastern Partnership Youth Forum to be held in Azerbaijan

Public Union of Azerbaijan-American Youth will organize Eastern Partnership Youth Forum in Baku on June 14 sponsored by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Representatives of the European and Azerbaijani youth organizations will attend the forum, spokesperson for the Ministry of Youth and Sports Samaya Mammadova said.

Organizers of the event aim to popularize the Eastern Partnership initiative among the young people and to involve them in the realization of this initiative.

Officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, members of the parliament, head of the European Union delegation to Azerbaijan, ambassadors and leaders of the youth organizations will participate in the Forum.

The Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum, which will be held in 2011, will be addressed at the Forum. Proposals made by the Forum’s groups will be submitted to the Office of the European Commission Youth Action Plan in Brussels, EU delegations to Azerbaijan and other East European countries, embassies as well.
