Two drug smugglers detained on Azerbaijan-Iran borders

Two attempting to smuggle drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan in their internals were detained by the Azerbaijani custom officers in Astara check-point.

As a result of medical examination, 5 little packages of about 140 g of heroin were found in straight intestines of Sabuhi Adigozalov and his sister Vusala Tagiyeva.

Azerbaijani citizens Sariyya Mammadova and Khanim Isayeva also attempted to smuggle about 210 g of heroin in their internals and they were detained while crossing the Azerbaijan-Iran border in Astara customs point.

7.616 g of heroin was found in straight intestine of Seymur Mehdiyev, who arrived from Iran to Azerbaijan. Doctors of central hospital of Azerbaijan’s Bilasuvar region identified two packages of 24.085 g heroin and a package of 1.078 g psychotropic substances in Zaur Mehdiyev’s internals. Two were detained by the officers of Bilasuvar customs point.
