Quake hits Caspian Sea

An earthquake hit the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.

The earthquake occurred at 5:47 am in the Caspian Sea, 1oo km east of the Gala settlement in the Absheron peninsula, the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences' Republican Seismological Service said.

The earthquake, measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale, was recorded in 60 km depth.
The tremors were not felt.
