Azerbaijan, China sign cooperation document

The Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Ministry and Chinese Culture Ministry signed a protocol on cooperation in the culture field for 2011-2015, the ministry reported.

Azerbaijani Minister Abulfaz Garayev met with his Chinese Counterpart Wu Chai within the framework of the Azerbaijani Culture Days in China on May 23-27. Garayev invited Chai to visit the country to further develop the bilateral cooperation.

Garayev also proposed to hold the Chinese Culture Days in Azerbaijan in 2012. He stressed the importance of developing an action plan and of establishing a working group in this regard.

During the meeting, the sides mulled expansion of cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
