Delegation of Chinese Academy of Modern International Relations visits Institute of Oriental Studies

A delegation of Chinese Academy of Modern International Relations visited the Institute of Oriental Studies named after academician Ziya Bunyadov of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Tuesday.

Representatives of Chinese Academy of Modern International Relations met the director of the Institute of Oriental Studies, MP, Professor Govhar Bakhshaliyeva.

Deputy director of the Institute of Oriental Studies Shahin Mustafayev, chief of the department "Central Asia and Far East countries", expert on Chinese Study Rafig Abbasov, chief of the department "The history and economy of Arabian countries" Farda Asadov, chief of the department "Turkish Philology" Khalida Guliyeva also participated at the meeting, according to ANAS.

Govhar Bakhshaliyeva informed the visitors on directions of scientific investigations of the institute. She underlined that along with traditional directions, as Arabian countries, Turkey and Iran, great attention paid to the history, language, literary and culture of the Central Asia and Far East countries. She also stressed scientific researches implemented in the institute on China.

The meeting featured discussions on the current state in modern East, cooperation in economic, cultural and scientific fields between Azerbaijan and China and bilateral visits.
