Azerbaijan ambassador to Italy visits Naples Eastern University

Azerbaijan's ambassador to Italy Vagif Sadigov visited the Naples Eastern University, the ancient center of oriental studies in Italy. Vagif Sadigov met the rector of the Naples Eastern University Giuseppe Cataldi.

The sides discussed the prospects for establishment of relations among research institutes of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), the Naples Eastern University and Baku State University.

Vagif Sadigov delivered a report on Azerbaijani foreign policy priorities at the University.
The event brought together researches from the university, as well as other universities of the country.

Azeri ambassador provided information on the history, culture and political and economical life of Azerbaijan. He stressed the special role of the country in the region and in world community.
Mr. Sadigov underlined the international energy and communication projects in which Azerbaijan is engaged.

Azeri diplomat also informed participants on the current state of the negotiation process to settle Nagorno Karabakh conflict and Azerbaijan's fair position on the settlement of this problem.
