E-kiosks in registration authorities and notaries to operate in Azerbaijan

E-kiosks installed in the registration authorities and the Justice Ministry's notaries will start operating in Azerbaijan next week, the Justice Ministry's Main Registration and Notary Department said.

Through these kiosks, citizens can get information about the list of documents required for carrying out one or other notarial procedures, and information on state tax for these procedures. By paying a state duty in this kiosk, a citizen will receive a proper receipt, the division said.

By getting information on required documents in these kiosks, the citizen will be able to make the necessary notarial procedures after submitting these documents and receipt for state duty payment to the notary.

Introducing this system will be an important step in the fight against corruption in this sphere and thus a direct contact between a notary public and citizen will be eliminated.

This system will be introduced as a pilot project in all the notarial offices and registration departments throughout the country.

Some shortcomings can also be revealed in the process, the division said. The system’s operation as a pilot project is due to this circumstance.
