Azerbaijan's Education Minister warns school directors

Education Minister Misir Mardanov held a meeting with the participation of school directors, the ministry’s press service said.

Minister spoke about the achievements of the educational institutions in the field of secondary education and noted that there also are some problems and shortcomings. Minister said it caused regret and expressed his concern over the negative facts.

Misir Mardanov gave information about the appeals sent to the Education Ministry’s Hotline regarding the schools of Baku in January-May, 2011. Noting that 223 appeals were made concerning the negative facts in 127 schools, Minister mentioned some facts and made some remarks on the situation in the mentioned schools. Minister warned the school directors and gave concrete instructions to eliminate the shortcomings in a short time.

At the end of the meeting Misir Mardanov gave instructions to Baku City Education Department concerning the visit to Baku schools, elimination of negative facts, establishment of close relations between school and parents, sincere relations with pupils.
