IDPs to get apartments in newly-constructed buildings in Azerbaijan

A part of IDPs in Azerbaijan’s capital maybe settled in newly-constructed buildings, Chairman of the State Committee on IDPs and Deputy PM Ali Hasanov said.

The construction companies also confirmed the talks on settlements with state committee. Akkord Insaat company says the list of apartments in newly-constructed buildings have been required as well: "We speak about the flats with 1-2-rooms and more". 38 IDP families have already been moved to one of the residential complexes built by Akkord. 28 more families are expected to move in the coming days.

Note that, these apartments were completely repaired. Committee says only 20 IDP families moved to new buildings: "The flats will be taken from IDPs only when it needs. In other cases, the companies wining in the tenders by the order of committee will construct the flats".

Issue on moving of IDPs settled in Sumgayit to newly-constructed buildings in the city is being discussed. Hasanov says IDPs settled in this city will be moved to new buildings. At present, talks are conducted with construction companies, as well as Finance Ministry and SOFAZ.
