Military commissar arrested in Azerbaijan

Sumgait City Military Commissar Samir Mammadov is under arrest for already 10 days, the Sumgait City Military Prosecutor’s Office reported.

Mammadov is accused of corruption and the Azerbaijani Military Prosecutor’s Office launched a criminal case in respect of him, the Office reported.

Mammadov’s deputy temporarily performs the Sumgait City Military Commissar’s duties.

Earlier, the military commissars of the Binagadi and Surakhani districts of Baku have been arrested on charges of corruption.
