Drug trafficker stabbed in Azerbaijan

A murder was committed in Azerbaijan’s Salyan region, the Region Police Department said.

The information says that Chingiz Ismayil Ismayilov, born in 1966, was put in Salyan Central Region Hospital with stab wound. The doctors couldn’t save him because the wounds were serious.

During the preliminary hearing, though it was said that Ismayilov got hurt because of falling, it was determined that he was knifed by Salyan resident Vahid Gafarov. Gafarov was arrested as a result of taken measures.

The criminal case has been launched by Salyan Region Prosecutor’s Office on the occurred incident, the investigation is being continued.

Ismayilov is known in Salyan as a drug trafficker. He was tried for several times for drug trafficking.
