OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media meets with chairman of National Television and Radio Council

OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Dunja Mijatovic met with chairman of the National Television and Radio Council Nushiravan Maharramli, the council said.

They exchanged views on the current state of the legislation on broadcasting in Azerbaijan, tasks regarding the switch to the digital broadcasting, joint discussions for changes in the legislation.

The sides also discussed internet television. Nushiravan Maharramli said nothing is being done to regulate the internet television, OSCE representative underlined the importance of holding discussions concerning it.
