Volcano erupts in Azerbaijan

A volcano erupted on Harami Mountain in the territory of Hajigabul region of Azerbaijan.

Head of the Hajigabul unit of the State Firefighting Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Ilgar Namazov said that the fiery mud volcano erupted at about 8.30 Thursday morning in altitude of 30-50 m in the summit of Harami Mountain (Greater Harami chain).

The activeness of volcano was observed more than 30 minutes from 70-80 km distance. The volcano was also seen from Hajigabul and Shirvan towns.
