Azerbaijan-made arms, ammunitions and technologies displayed in Istanbul

The 10th International Defense Industry Fair is held in Istanbul.

Azerbaijani delegations led by Defense Minister Colonel-General Safar Abiyev and Defense Industry Minister Yaver Jamalov attend the fair.

Today the delegations led by Abiyev and Jamalov have visited pavilions of foreign companies, including Turkish companies. They familiarized themselves with several new weapons and equipments produced by the Turkish companies.

The foreign delegations also visit the Azerbaijani pavilion. Turkish Defense Minister Vecdi Gönül, Under Secretary for Defense Industry Murad Bayar, Georgian Defense Minister Bacho Akhalaya, the defense ministers and representatives of defense companies from many countries got acquainted with the pavilion. Besides, the bilateral meeting and discussions were held between Azerbaijani and foreign delegations. Turkish President Abdullah Gul was among the visitors of the Azerbaijani pavilion.

Azerbaijan displayed 120 mm mortar launcher, produced by its local enterprises, auto rifle, machine-gun installed on tanks, 12,7 mm caliber “Istiglal” sniper rifle, the drone model which production started in March, 2011, as well as the models of Matador and Marauder mine-protected armored vehicles, jointly produced by Azerbaijan and Paramount Group of the Republic of South Africa.
