New military unit examined in Azerbaijan - PHOTOS

The ceremony of examining a new civil defense force military unit at Azerbaijani Emergency Situations Ministry was held today in Sangachal in the Garadagh district.

The civil defense forces are an organization rapidly reacting to natural and manmade disasters in the country, Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov said.

"Better conditions must be created for the civil defense forces," he said. "They must meet modern requirements for them to work well to prevent disasters."

Improving the conditions of the civil defense forces is an important issue. T his issue has been preliminary resolved .

Commander of the Civil Defense Forces, Major General Ilham Abdullayev, First Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations, Lieutenant-General Rafael Mirzoyev and other officials attended the event.
