Suspect in murder of four commits suicide

A man accused in murder of four people committed suicide in the investigative isolator of the Justice Ministry’s Penitentiary Service, prosecutor office of Khazar district of Baku said.

The incident took place on Tuesday. Suspect Rovshan Mehraliyev hanged himself in the investigative isolation. An operational investigative group arrived at site to investigate the reasons of suicide.

Mehraliyev was accused in murder of four people, members of one family. The family tragedy took place in Nizami district of Baku on January 11, 2011. Rovshan Mehraliyev killed his 61-year-old mother Elmira Mehraliyeva, wife Lala Mehraliyeva, 33, daughter Saida, 7 and son Ilham, 5. He knifed all of them to death. Then Rovshan Mehraliyev injured himself with a knife.
