Religious individuals try to hold unauthorized rally in front of Azerbaijani Education Ministry

A group of religious individuals attempted to hold an unauthorized rally in front of the Education Ministry in Azerbaijan on Friday.

About 50 people gathered in front of the ministry as a sign of protest against the ban for schoolgirls to wear hijab.

The police prevented the rally and detained several activists.

Information on this issue has been unobtainable from law enforcement bodies.
