Azerbaijan to open landing courses

Azerbaijan will open landing courses for teenagers, Chairman of the National Council of the Voluntary Military and Patriotic Sports and Technical Society, Maj. Gen. Novruzali Orujov said.

He said teens will be trained in several areas - theoretical training, skydiving, hand-to-hand fight and shooting.

Teens involved in skydiving will get rid of feelings of fear leaps, Orujov said.

"Skydiving is a psychological barrier, overcoming which man fears neither the military nor other situations. Therefore, we attach special importance to the parachute jump," he said.

Azerbaijan is in a state of war and 20 percent of the country’s lands are occupied. Therefore, it is very important that young people passed through a similar preparation before military service, he added.

The Society opened training of snipers in Azerbaijan.
