Number of population reaches 9.137 mln in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan population has increased by 25 600 persons or 0.3% to 9 136.7 thousand from early 2011.

The SSC says density of population makes 106 persons/1 km²: "53% of population lives in the city, 47% in villages. 49.6% is men, 50.4% - women, 31.4% - youths".

Committee says the life expectancy for babies born in 2011 makes 73.6 ages, including for boys – 70.9 ages, for girls – 76.2 ages.
