4 medical workers removed, 36 reprimanded, 26 warned in Azerbaijan

The "Hot line" of the Ministry Health (565 12 64) has received 1899 appeals from February 23 to April 5 this year. Spokesman of the Ministry of Health Anar Gadirli said that the researches were held and their results were analyzed basing the received appeals.

Among the appeals there are 590 complaints and 629 questionnaires. 470 appeals were groundless, 210 are irrelevant. The appeals of complaint character are related to the medicine security, hospitalization, examination and treatment issues:

"The current issues of various character which do not demand the special research were solved, the relevant measures were taken, all appeals concerning the medical aid were investigated with a special seriousness just on the spot by Health Ministry’s Medical Aid Organizing Department’s employees, the ministry’s representatives attached to medical establishments and the chiefs of medical establishments.

According to results of the conducted inspections, administrative reproach measures have been taken on medical workers for shortcomings in organization of medical aid to patients, giving reasons for complaints, violation of ethic norms in behavior with patients and their relatives. 4 persons were removed from their posts, 16 persons were reprimanded severely, 20 persons were reprimanded and 26 persons were warned in written and oral forms".
