Azerbaijan Embassy to Canada co-sponsors charity concert in Ottawa

Azerbaijan Embassy to Canada and the Ottawa Folk Festival cosponsored charity concert to assist people who suffered from the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Canadian and Japanese musicians performed on the stage.

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Canada Farid Shafiyev gave interview to Canada's Rogers TV channel. He noted the importance of international assistance at the time of distress, stressing Azerbaijan's one million dollar quake relief aid to Japan.

Azeri ambassador stressed that Azerbaijan highly praises Japan's assistance the country once rendered to Azerbaijan during the humanitarian crisis in 90s of past century as a result of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict.
