President of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences: Changes can be made in the specialties intended for the doctorate program

Changes can be made in some specialties intended for the doctorate program, president of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Mahmud Karimov said.

Karimov said the Supreme Attestation Commission under President of Azerbaijan Republic prepared a new list of specialties basing on the recommendations of UNESCO.

"The Supreme Attestation Commission will hold a meeting and confirm the specialties this week. After that changes will be made in the specialties intended for doctorate program admission," he said.

Karimov said the admission programs will be printed soon. President of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences said the exams will be transparent and objective.

"It is impossible to become a scientist with illegal ways. If a person wants to become a scientist, only knowledge is necessary for this. The admission will be declared in summer, take place in September-October," he said.
