Scientific conference within International Music Festival kicks off in Baku

A scientific-practice conference as part of 4th International Gara Garayev Modern Music Festival dedicated to the prominent Azerbaijani composer Gara Garayev has today started here in the Museum Center.

The scientific-practice conference provides information on the outstanding Azerbaijani composer, USSR State Prize Laureate, Hero of Socialist Labor Gara Garayev's musical compositions.

The chairman of the scientific-practice conference is musicologist Rauf Farhadov.

The scientific conference featured reports on the themes "Gara Garayev: point of view from the XXI century", "On problems of intertextuality in the music", “Messiaen: Composer of the XXI century” and others.
