WHO Representatives inspecting endemic territories

Robert Newman, director of the Global Program of World Health Organization (WHO) on struggle against malaria and the adviser for malaria of the European regional bureau of the organization Michael Yezhov are visiting Azerbaijan, the press-service of Ministry of Health said.

The guests had a meeting at the ministry in the course of which they were given information on the successes reached in struggle against malaria in Azerbaijan. At the same time, ways of the further development of bilateral cooperation to this end have been discussed.

In the frame of visit to last till March 31, the WHO representatives are said to meet with officials of relevant managements and establishments, the organizations-partners and make survey of endemic territories on malaria.
