Azerbaijani Labor Ministry provided almost 30,000 unemployed with jobs in 2010

Roughly 54,023 people appealed to the Azerbaijani Labour and Social Protection Ministry's employment agencies in 2010. Roughly 39,922 people were registered. About 28,362 people were provided with jobs, while 3,921 people were registered at employment centers and sent to training courses.

Roughly 51 percent, or 2,000 people were sent to regional training centers in Baku and Nakhchivan, as well as Goychay.

Azerbaijan first introduced a quota for migrant workers in various economic activities at a level of 10,700 foreigners in 2010. Roughly 8,708 foreigners legally worked in the country last year. The quota for migrant workers is reduced up to 9,815 people this year. At present, roughly 8,881 foreigners work in the country.
